NZASAP Workplace Climate Ambassadors Online Mentoring Sessions
Booking and Session Guidance
To ensure fair access and smooth scheduling of mentoring sessions, please review and follow the booking policy below:
1. Eligibility
-
Three online mentoring sessions are offered to each ambassador per year as part of our standard Ambassador support commitment.
-
Sessions are designed to support professional growth and action around workplace climate and sustainability issues.
2. Session Availability
-
Sessions are offered on weekdays.
-
Each session is 20 minutes long. A 30-minute window is allocated to allow some flexibility for connection issues, minor lateness and so on.
-
Should you require a session outside the times you see shown, please email below and we will see what we can do..
3. How to Book
-
Book sessions via website booking.
-
Please book at least 48 hours in advance.
-
You will receive a confirmation email with details and a calendar invite once the booking is confirmed.
4. Rescheduling and Cancellations
-
You may reschedule or cancel your session up to 48 hours in advance via the same booking platform.
-
Cancellations after that point, or not logging in during the allotted timeframe will result in the loss of the session.
5. Session Objectives
Sessions cover,
-
firstly, any questions about the program;
-
secondly, taking your test to ensure you are ready to conduct your climate classes;
-
and thirdly, offering feedback or asking further questions once you have done some actual classes! Hopefully the fun bit!
-
Save for the exam where we have to ensure you are going to do yourself justice and be a credit to your employer and colleagues in conducting the classes, sessions are designed to be supportive and non-judgmental. We will respect any confidences shared which should not be disclosed to your Program Administrator.
-
Please join sessions on time to maximize the benefit of your meeting.
6. Repeat Bookings
-
Three sessions are included. More can be arranged by us with your Program Administrator. Or of course directly with yourself if you are a self-funded Ambassador.
-
If additional support is needed, email us below.
7. Test Session
-
For this session, which should be on camera, you are requested to wear your chosen Ambassador dress identifier of dark green and white.
-
Five questions will be asked; you can have a second attempt at up to two of the questions.
-
Satisfactory answers are required in four out of five topics.
-
Re-takes are perfectly permissible.
-
All the material is in the Ambassador booklet.
-
The aim of the test is simply to ensure you are confident in handling the material, that the class should therefore be effective and a good use of time all round; and most importantly, you are able to discuss behaviour in relation to the climate challenge and make some improvements for the sake of our shared environment - the reason we are all here!
